You're free to enter the amount of deposit you require from your guest to stay in your accommodation, and you can do this when you create your accommodation listing. The deposit amount will be shown to guests when they make a booking request, but it won't be taken from their account! All we'll do is take a copy of their bank card so as to be able to withdraw the deposit amount out if necessary, thus asserting your rights.
To enter the amount of deposit you require, please fill it in during the "price option" stage, by moving the slider "Do you require a deposit?" to yes, and entering the amount in the slider box.
When your deposit is shown on your accommodation listing, for a confirmed booking, the guest is responsible for paying the corresponding deposit should there be a valid claim from you.
If you wish to make a request to hold the deposit, you should do so in the 14 days following your guest's departure date or before a new guest comes to stay in your accommodation, if the latter happens earlier.
In the event of such a request, we act as mediators and recover the money from the guest, directly from the bank card they used for payment. The amount taken shall be established according to needs, supporting evidence (bills, photos, description, etc.) and transferred to your bank account.
With Sportihome, no need to resort to the old rental methods any more (down payments, deposit cheque, direct payment, etc.).
