No, it is not possible to request a deposit or down payment for a booking. Guests pay for their accommodation booking at Sportihome in full upon validating their booking request, and are committed to the cancellation conditions listed below:
- refund from the host to the amount of 50% of the paid funds if the cancellation takes place more than 7 days before the planned date of arrival (excluding fees due to Sportihome).
Eg.: A guest has booked a stay with you for €110 (€90 for the accommodation, €10 for cleaning fees and €10 for guest service fees*), and this guest cancels 7 days before the planned date of arrival.
If the guest had come to stay with you, you would have been paid €94 (€100 - €5 service fees due to Sportihome + €1 VAT), including the €10 cleaning fee.
To compensate you for the guest's cencellation, you will be paid 50% of €84 (€94-€10), that is, €42, since the cleaning fees are not due.
- payment from the guest of 100% of the funds paid if the cancellation takes place less than 7 days before the planned date of arrival (excluding fees due to Sportihome).
Eg.: A guest has booked a stay with you for €110 (€90 for the accommodation, € for cleaning fees and €10 for guest service fees*), and this guest cancels 7 days before the planned date of arrival. With Sportihome, you can completely forget about the old rental methods (down payments, deposit cheque, direct payment, etc.).
